Problem

TiE Silicon Valley, a prominent membership organization for entrepreneurs, did not have a system in place for tracking member participation or measuring the success of its many events throughout the year. Their challenge was to create a system that could efficiently track event attendance, evaluate the success of various activities, and reflect their innovative spirit, all while working within a tight timeline to roll it out before their annual gala. 

Solution

To address these challenges, TiE Silicon Valley partnered with Verix to implement a blockchain-powered digital badge system for event attendees. The QR codes on the badges were scanned at event check-in to make that process more efficient. The badges were also printed and worn as name tags and offered participants a memento post-event. 

Results

The activation and deployment of the badges were completed within 48 hours of the event, showcasing Verix’s ability to deliver under tight deadlines. The digital upgrade allowed for efficient attendee tracking and verification and enhanced the attendee experience. “At TiE Silicon Valley, we use the Verix system for our events, and the experience has been seamless.” This successful implementation led TiE Silicon Valley to use Verix for all of its event badging needs.
