How can I set eligibility criteria for receiving a Verix certificate?

Verix allows you to set a minimum attendance threshold to be eligible to receive a certificate. For example, you can require that all attendees need to attend at least 75% of the session in order to receive a certificate. To set eligibility criteria, follow these steps:

  • Toggle Set minimum participation to ON.
  • Enter the required percentage of participation (e.g., 80% means attendees must be present for at least 80% of the meeting to qualify).
  • Choose whether this participation requirement applies to all Zoom sessions by selecting Yes or No.

What is the difference between ‘Registration Required’ and ‘Invite-Only’ scheduling on Zoom?

Registration Required:

  • Attendees must sign up before joining the meeting/webinar.
  • You collect names and email addresses beforehand.
  • Requiring registration makes tracking attendance and certificate issuance easy.
  • Useful for public events and those with open enrollment.

Invite-Only:

  • Only people who receive a direct invite link can join.
  • No pre-registration needed; less control over attendee details.
  • Best for internal meetings or private sessions.

How do I find my Zoom meeting or webinar ID?

You can find your meeting/webinar ID in multiple ways:

  • In the Zoom dashboard: Go to Meetings → Click the meeting to view the ID.
  • In the Zoom invite link: The meeting ID is embedded in the URL.

How do I set up recurring meetings in Zoom?

To schedule a recurring meeting:

  • Go to Schedule a Meeting in Zoom.
  • Check the Recurring Meeting box and select the recurrence pattern (daily, weekly, etc.).
  • Set the timeframe (e.g. every Monday at 10 AM for 4 weeks).
  • Enable registration so Verix can retrieve recipient details for certificate issuance.
  • For added security, check the Approval Required box to manually verify attendees before they join.
  • Click Save, and Zoom will create multiple sessions with the same link.

This ensures seamless scheduling while capturing participant details for Verix certificate issuance.

Does the host need to stay for the entire duration of the meeting to schedule certificates?

Yes, the host must stay connected throughout the call. To avoid this, you can pre-schedule certificates in advance using Verix for Zoom.

What happens if the meeting ends unexpectedly? Will certificates still be issued?

If the host disconnects before issuing certificates, they will not be sent. To prevent this, pre-schedule certificates via Verix for Zoom.

How do I ensure that attendees receive their Verix certificates?

Make sure attendees’ email addresses are added to the Zoom meeting invite for seamless certificate delivery. If you don’t have their email addresses, enable Registration Required for your Zoom meeting. This will prompt participants to enter their full name and email address before joining, ensuring this information is captured for certificate issuance.

What is the purpose of enabling 'Approval Required' for Zoom registrations?

Enabling Approval Required under Registration Required allows the host to review and approve attendees before they can join the meeting. This ensures that:

  • Only verified participants are allowed access.
  • Attendees enter accurate details, such as their full name and email.
  • Spam or unauthorized registrations are filtered out before the session begins.

This feature helps maintain data accuracy and ensures that only eligible attendees receive their Verix certificates.

Can co-hosts issue certificates if the host leaves?

No, only the original host can issue certificates. Ensure the primary host stays to the end of the meeting, or pre-schedule certificates via Verix for Zoom.

Can certificates be issued for webinars as well as meetings?

Yes! Verix supports both Zoom meetings and Zoom webinars for certificate issuance.

What happens if the meeting is canceled? Will certificates still be sent?
If the Zoom meeting is canceled before it starts, no certificates will be issued. If it ends early, only those who meet the attendance criteria will receive them.

Do I have to be in an active Zoom meeting to design my certificates?

A: Yes, you need to be in an active meeting to set up your certificates, and you also need to do so in the same meeting where you plan to distribute it. That said, you can join the meeting before your participants arrive to set it up, or you can also do so after your participants have left if the meeting is still in session.

How does Verix track participation?
